This is a collection of over 150 books on Historic European Martial Arts spanning from the 13^th to 20^th Century.  You will find books on Longsword, Sidesword, Sword, Sword and Shield, Dusack, Messer, Rapier, Rapier and off hand weapons, Smallsword, Spadroon, Military Saber, Broadsword, Singlestick, Foil, Epee, Sabre, Polearms, Quarterstaff, Dagger, Unarmed, Pugilism and Wrestling.  There are also treatises on dueling and fencing theory.

The purpose of this list is to help make it easier for scholars and practitioners of the sword to obtain copies of rare books that are difficult to find.  Many of these books are very difficult to obtain copies of because only a few copies still exist.  These few copies are also scattered around the world, which making getting copies an expensive venture.  The prices on this list are nominal compared to the initial expense of obtaining them, but I want to help the community by making it easy to get access to this wealth of knowledge.

The books on this list are sold as unbound facsimiles (photocopies).  The quality of each is always the best possible, but some are less then perfect.  When printing off microfilm or when the original pages have browned with age and are brittle, the copies always come out darker.  If you have any concerns about the books you are interested in then please email me prior to placing your order.

I am most interested in trading for titles which I do not have.  If we arrange a trade, I am happy to share those books with the community by adding them on this list, but if they should not be distributed (because of copyright or for any reason), then I will keep it in my private collection.

All prices are listed on the left side of the column.  Those that are preceded with a P- have been purchased from Patri Pugliese and have been uncovered and made public by his diligent research.  To purchase a copy of any of these books please contact me for pricing (prices noted were from Patri).

Shipping and Handling: For US orders - it is $3.00 for the first book and $.50 for each addition book.  For International orders - please contact me for shipping prices.  I will provide you with air vs. ground shipping prices and then you can complete your order.
Shipping can take several months depending on my schedule and the size of your order. Please contact me if your want to know the status of your order.

Payment:  Once you have figured out the total for the order, payment can be made two ways:

1) Online. You can click on the treatises you would like and they will go into a shopping cart. When you are ready to submit your order then you will be taken to Paypal to complete the order.

2) By Check or Money Order. You should create a list of the treatises that you want and total the order (including shipping cost). Email me the list at jared@jaredkirby.com and I'll send the mailing address to you once I can confirm your order.
