The 2nd edition of Italian Rapier Combat is now out!

This updated edition includes a new introduction and a revised glossary with many technical terms now translated  (but are in italic to make sure readers still reference the glossary).

Additionally, a modernised translation makes it easier for the reader to understand Capo Ferro’s intention. For example, in the 1st edition what read as: “Having the figure marked C. stretto on the outside of the figure marked B., and the same figure cavando to strike the figure marked C. by quarta, the same figure noted C. strikes, with the scanso del pie dritto traversed on the outside of his sword, in the face next to the ear.” has become: “The figure C. will engage B. on the outside. B. disengages to strike C. in quarta. C. strikes in the face next to the ear with the scanso del pie dritto traversed on the outside of his sword.”
